Clinical Support for Children Impacted by Prenatal Opioid Exposure

Cincinnati is home to the following clinics to support children impacted by prenatal opioid exposure:

  • Cincinnati Children’s Hospital STEP clinic (Ages birth-3)

  • Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Next Step Clinic (Ages 3-6)

    • The Next Step Clinic is house under Cincinnati Children’s Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (DDBP)

Early Intervention: In home developmental support and services for children birth to 3 years old.

  • Ohio Help Me Grow: Children with history of neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS), automatically qualify for Early Intervention Services in the State of Ohio! You can request a referral from one of your child’s providers or self-refer through the Help Me Grow Ohio website.

  • Kentucky First Steps: You can request a referral from one of your child’s providers or self-refer by using contact information provided using the link below.

  • Indiana First Steps: You can request a referral from one of your child’s providers or self-refer by using contact information provided using the link below.
